PIA Awards for Planning Excellence (SA), 2024

The annual awards for the SA Branch of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) were held at the end of November. Congratulations to Kangaroo Island Council and Meridian Urban Water Technology for their project: Preparing KI: A Whole-of-Island Disaster Risk Reduction and Mitigation Plan.
Commendations were also given to Alexandrina Council in collaboration with the Coast Protection Board, URPS, and Hatch Design for their Community Coastal Flood Emergency Plan.

National growth areas alliance award: Partnership - building connections, 2023
The National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) awards program recognises excellence, innovation and best practice from projects and initiatives supporting the development of growth areas across the country.
Resilient Hills and Coasts was recognised by the NGAA at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre in Hahndorf in the ‘Partnership - Building Connections’ award category.

Since 2014, members of the Resilient Hills & Coasts Climate Partnership have worked together to strengthen the resilience of our communities, economies and natural and built environments to a changing climate.
The Partnership has generated significant momentum, knowledge and practical on-ground action by working together.
